ABSTRACT

A UV/visible Spectrophotometric method for the determination of Silymarin in poly herbal formulation have been developed. Developed method is based on the simple concept of solubility of chemical i.e. Silymarin in methanol. This method is simple, rapid, accurate, sensitive and precise for the determination of  Silymarin in polyherbal formulation like aqueous extract, Oral liquid (i.e. Syrup) and solid (i.e. Capsules) dosage form containing crude herb Silybum marianum. The λmax. of Silymarin measured at 287nm.  The molecule (Silymarin) obeys Beer’s law in between range of 0.3 – 1.6 mg/ml. The method is reproducible, accurate and linear for routine quality control testing of phyto-pharmaceutical dosage forms.

ABSTRACT

 The oil has wide range of therapeutic and culinary applications. Saturated (SFAs), unsaturated (USFAs) like monounsaturated (MUFAs) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs). It also contains the ω-3 fatty acid i.e. linolenic acid (ALA), ω-6 i.e. linoleic acid (LA) and ω-9 i.e., oleic acid (OA). These PUFAs are most beneficial to human health and in prevention and control of various diseases. The seeds oil contains SFAs, USFAs (MUFAs and PUFAs). Unsaturated oil has most beneficial to human health and in prevention and control of various diseases such as cancer, inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disorders, coronary heart disease (CHD), specifically for its ability to reduce blood pressure and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and other health benefits.

ABSTRACT

Theeffectiveness in TB treatment is difficult because the structural composition of the mycobacterial cell wall is very complicated, which makes many drugs ineffective. Tuberculosis is still one of the most imperative infectious disease worldwide becouse its important reason is drug resistant, persistent or latent tuberculosis and synergism with HIV. Furthermore no any new chemical entity has come. The recently application of modern drug design promise to bring significant development in the fight against TB. In present review we discussed brief introduction of tuberculosis.

ABSTRACT

 Among heavy metals, lead and copper pose a significant threat to the due to their toxicity, incremental accumulation in the food chain and persistence in the ecosystem. Lead and copper are introduced into water from various industries and other human activities. Present study was aimed to remove lead and copper from aqueous media using Fumaria indica biomass as a function of metal ions initial concentration. Both metal removal was investigated in single and binary system. For comparison isotherm models i.e., Langmuir and Freundlich were applied on experimental adsorption data. Results showed that the copper behavior was different in single and binary metal system, whereas lead adsorption remained the same in both single and binary metal systems. The Freundlich isotherm model fitted well to the adsorption data of both single and binary metal system. The thermodynamic parameters i.e., ∆G0, was measured to get insight into adsorption phenomenon and negative value of ∆G0 suggest that the adsorption process was spontaneous in nature. Results showed that in multi-metal system the adsorption of specific metal ion may change and during metal adsorption from industrial wastewater this effect must be taken in account before generalization of results.
